From Friday 19 to Sunday 21 June 2026, the Koninklijke Holland Beker returns to the Bosbaan in Amsterdam. Three days of top international rowing with festival vibes on shore: live music, the smallest ferris wheel in the Netherlands, dinner along the water, a kids program, and food and drinks by Cantina Mobilé (known from De Rollende Keukens).

THE PROGRAM

Friday 19 June — Bosbaan After Work
A summer Friday afternoon by the water, with rowing activities, live music and a networking program for partners and guests.

On the water (16:00–20:00) — Rowing clinics. Get in the boat with colleagues or friends and race on the iconic Bosbaan.

On the shore (16:00–23:00) — Opening fair with festival vibes: live music, the smallest ferris wheel in the Netherlands, drinks, great food and the best summer atmosphere.

VIP event (16:00–20:00 · by request) — Open bar, snacks, keynote by an Olympic rower and networking in a private VIP area. Perfect for client activation, a team outing or relationship building. Contact for access via the form below.

Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 June — Row, Family & Friends
Two days of international rowing combined with a full festival program for families, friends and sports fans.

ON THE WATER

• 09:00–12:00 — Heats and semifinals (20+ countries)

• 18:00–20:00 — Get in the boat yourself

ON THE SHORE

• 09:00–12:00 — OKEANOS breakfast and coffee
• 12:00–13:00 — Lunch on the festival grounds (reserve in advance)

De Royal Holland Beker behoeft voor velen geen toelichting. Het is een wedstrijd met een lange en rijke historie, waar vele iconische roeiers aan hebben deelgenomen.

Voor eerstejaars studenten die net zijn begonnen met wedstrijdroeien staat deze wedstrijd mogelijk nog niet op de kalender. Ook zonder een officieel eerstejaarsklassement willen we jullie de kans geven om te ervaren hoe het is om te racen op een internationaal toernooi.

Ieder jaar trekt het evenement sterke internationale inschrijvingen van over de hele wereld, wat zorgt voor een uniek en competitief veld.

Op zondag — de dag van de grote finales — organiseren wij een speciaal Nieuwelingenveld. De nummers zijn:
M Nov 4+, W Nov 4+, LM Nov 4+, LW Nov 4x, M Nov 8+, LM Nov 8+, en W Nov 8+.

Voor alle inschrijvingen gelden de regels van het nieuwelingenveld. Inschrijven staat open voor alle ploegen die aan deze voorwaarden voldoen.

The Holland Beker needs little introduction. It is a regatta with a long and rich history, where many iconic rowers have competed.

For first-year student rowers who have recently started racing, this event might not yet be on your calendar. Even without an official novice ranking race, we want to give you the opportunity to experience what it’s like to compete at an international regatta.

Each year, the event attracts strong international entries from across the world, making it a unique and competitive racing environment.

On Sunday — the day of the big finals — we are organizing a dedicated Novice field. The events include:
M Nov 4+, W Nov 4+, LM Nov 4+, LW Nov 4x, M Nov 8+, LM Nov 8+, and W Nov 8+.

All entries must comply with the official novice eligibility rules. Registration is open to all crews that meet these requirements.

The historic Bosbaan in Amsterdam is currently undergoing a large-scale renovation as part of preparations for upcoming international rowing events, including the 2026 World Rowing Championships.

The works, which started in early 2025 and are scheduled to run until mid-2026, focus on upgrading both the racing course and the surrounding infrastructure. Planned improvements include renewed start and finish facilities, modernised boathouse amenities, upgraded banks and pontoons, and enhanced technical and safety systems.

In addition, dredging works are being carried out to ensure the water depth and quality meet international competition standards, while surrounding paths, bridges, and spectator areas are being improved for better accessibility and capacity.

These developments will ensure that the Bosbaan remains a world-class rowing venue and continues to provide an excellent setting for national and international regattas such as the Koninklijke Holland Beker.

On June 28 and 29, the Koninklijke Holland Beker is back at the Bosbaan in Amsterdam — and this year, we’re going bigger than ever, kicking off already on Friday!

Expect top-level racing with the full Dutch National Team, including stars like melvin twellaar and many others.

But that’s not all. Together with Cantina Mobilé, we’re turning the Bosbaan into a full-blown event. Think:

We welcome all athletes, coaches, and supporters to review the programme and prepare for an outstanding weekend of international rowing at the Bosbaan in Amsterdam.

Lucas Keijzer, who took home the prestigious Holland Beker last year, is quickly becoming one of the standout names in Dutch rowing. Thanks to his strong results, he’s now been selected to join TeamNL Rowing.

In June 2024, Keijzer won the hollandbeker at the Bosbaan, beating some big names like Jelle Bakker and Pieter van Veen. He followed that up with a bronze medal at the 2025 NK Klein, finishing just behind Olympic medalist Simon van Dorp.

In the lead-up to the NK Klein, Keijzer was invited to train with TeamNL, alongside top talents from the Talent TeamNL program. That opportunity gave him the chance to train intensively with some of the country’s best rowers — a key step in sharpening his skills and pushing his level even higher.

Lucas isn’t one to hold back. After winning the Holland Beker, he famously said: “I’m putting it all on red.” That bold, fearless mindset has defined his journey so far — and it’s paying off.
